Since the beginning of humankind, people were observing and living by the Moon. Lunar Energies have been giving insight into natural cycles and gave us the first understanding of time measuring. Not knowing the Moon Phases and practicing the magic is like swimming against the current. These Easy Full Moon Rituals and Spells will show you which type of magic practice when Lady Luna is in her fullest!
On October, 31st 2020 we will experience a Super Powerful Blue Moon – the second full moon of the month. This happens approximately once every 2,5 years. It’s a great time to set long term goals, make a vision board, and plan a ritual that you haven’t done before. Great time for divination, working on your psychic abilities and expanding magical knowledge. This astrological occurrence will have more powerful energy than usual and it’s wise to plan ahead what you want to do during that time. These simple full moon rituals and spells might give you some inspiration and encouragement to find how you want to experience this Rare Lunar Energy!
To check the exact day and time of the full moon in your location, you can use the free mobile apps like Daff Moon.
Full Moon is the most potent time for magic, lasts around 7 days but from my experience, the best is to perform the spell the closest to the full moon.
Below you can find some things I do on the full moon, simple rituals and spells to try and some free grimoire infographics!

Below you can find full moon rituals intentions that will help you understand the variety of work that can be done during that time!
1. Full Moon Cleanse
Full Moon is a great time to prepare for the phase of the Waning Moon ahead. It is the best time for “destructive magic” and releasing everything that no longer serves you. You can tidy your house, cleanse it with the smoke or a spray and bring vibes of change to your surroundings.
This is a good time to clean your altar, wash the floors, and wipe dusty shelves. It will bring fresh and smooth energy for other Full Moon Rituals listed below. If you want to make this as an aromatic experience, you can use your favorite essential oils added into the washing water.
2. Cleansing and Charging Crystals and Magical Items
Another fairly simple Full Moon Rituals I enjoy doing is cleansing and charging all my magical objects. That mostly includes my Crystals, Wand, Tarot Cards, Jewelry, and Essential Oils.
Sometimes I like to use Smoke or Sound Cleansing. Other times I wash all the items under the running tap or soak them in a bowl full of water with some salt (always make sure your crystals like it!).
When all is cleansed and shiny, I set up my portable altar outside. You can also do it in the windowsill that faces the Moon. The best time to charge would be as close to 100% luminosity as possible. You can check it with a Moon App such as DaffMoon.
Recently I started picking up my crystals before sleep, leaving them out for only a few hours at night. It’s just because some crystals will fade in the sunlight, especially amethysts, so I’d rather use only moonlight to charge them.
3. Making Full Moon Water
One of the simplest full moon rituals is leaving water to charge with the moonlight. I made a whole separate post about Moon Water, so feel free to check it.
You can use this water in your spellcraft, for cleaning, washing your face, adding to a bath, making various sprays and potions, watering plants, cleaning your magical objects.
This type of water is highly charged with lunar energies and would be greatly beneficial in your craft.
4. Review Your New Moon Goals
If you’ve been working with the Moon Phases for a while, you probably set new intentions with each New Moon. This is a great thing to focus on, as the moon grows and helps you achieve these goals. When it’s in the fullest form, you should see the progress you’ve already made!
As a part of your Full Moon Rituals, it’s good to review what has been accomplished and make adjustments if needed. You can for example cast a spell that will help you achieve this goal. Let the Universe know that you’re grateful for all the learnings and you are willing to work on your plans further.
After the Full Moon, when the luminosity is decreasing, you need to work on what you already have, not really strive for new goals or achievements. It is a good time to revise the progress, making upgrades and changes.
The closest to the Dark Moon, the more you should let go and surrender. Trust in the process and come to work with new energy when the Moon starts to grow again!
5. Release Things that no longer Serve You
When you do your revision of goals and make specific adjustments, it’s time to let go of what stops your work to go ahead. Maybe spending too much time on the phone, or focusing too much on work. You know the best…
To make good use of Full Moon energy, you can write a list of negative things around you, and burn it outside in the moonlight. The Moon will slowly release those things when it starts waning, making your spell work more effectively!
6. Drawing Down the Moon
Drawing Down the Moon during the Full Moon is simply performing a ritual to connect and receive lunar energy and blessings. It is a feminine, magnetic, intuitive, healing, and mother-like energy that you can use to empower yourself and your spellwork.
For this ritual, you don’t need any special equipment. You can use your wand or athame if you wish. You can go outside or open the window facing the moon. Pick the closest time to the full moon, when the whole face is lit and visible.
Now take some time to ground and center your energy. Open your Chakra Centers and allow the energy to flow freely from your feet to the crown and back. Imagine the support you get through your feet from Mother Gaia and a string of light on top of your head connecting you to the Universal Spirit Consciousness. Recenter that energy and feel it in the Heart Chakra.
Now look at Lady Luna, feel her blue moonlight on your cheeks. Feel it in your palms, arms, and hands. If you are familiar with magical directing tools: wand or athame, you can use them to Draw a Pentagram over the face over the moon with both of your hands.
When You finish your energetical Moonlight Bath, You should close your chakra centers and thank the Luna Goddess.
This Ritual allows you to Draw Goddess Energy into your body. Afterward, you can feel more energized, clear in mind and heart, and surrounded by intuitive psychic energies. Now, Full of that Lunar Power you can perform other full moon rituals or spells.

✦ Orange and Pine Essential Oils
✦ Yellow or Orange Carnation Flowers or Petals

When you ready for some Energetical Boost during Full Moon, You can take bath with these ingredients. Again this can be a good cleansing and energizing ritual as a preparation for other magical full moon rituals you wish to do that night.
Light a candle say this incantation (as loud or as quiet as you want).
Full and Bright,
Grant me energy
This Magical Night.
Start Pouring Warm water into Your Bathtub, visualize your Energy Rising with each drop. You can add any of the listed essential oils, herbs, or flowers. If you are afraid fo them getting stuck in the drain, you can use a material sachet.
Sometimes I used to take bath with Crystals. Some of them don’t like prolonged contact with water or might contain toxic elements. Use them with caution and always do your research. Gemstones that are 7 or above on Mohs Hardness Scale are generally ok to use in water. If you don’t want to soak them, you can place them around you or just quickly dip in the bath for some crystal essence!

9. Full Moon Manifestation Ritual
This Manifestation Technique is best performed on the New Moon, yet if you have already set your intention for this Lunar Cycle, you can empower it with the Full Moon Energy.
The affirmation/intention should be in the present tense and refer to you. For example “I am strong and courageous.”, “I have 1000 dollars income each week”, “My family and friends have fulfilled and abundant life”.
You really need to believe in the power of that ritual. To check if your subconscious agrees with that sentence, simply say it out loud and see how you feel. For me, my body moves slightly forward when the subconscious feels that it’s true. Otherwise, I have a squeezy feeling in my gut and I know I have to rephrase my affirmation for it to be working.
Choose the time, that moon is still growing. A day before Full Moon will be perfect for bringing your intention in. Make yourself comfortable and bring to a meditative state. I like to enhance my focus by playing binaural beats, or Solfeggio Harmonics music to synchronize the events and timelines. You can burn a candle that will assist with your chosen intention.
Write the intention on the piece of paper. Put a lot of energy into feeling as if it’s already true. Let the Luminescence of the Full Moon work in your favor. After you successfully played that scenario in your mind, you can put this piece of paper in a safe place, and let the Moon work magic.
Usually, the best time to start Manifestations would be during Waxing Moon and repeating it until the Full Moon. Then it’s a time of Moon Waning (when the moon becomes smaller and smaller) and you should let go of any attachments to that wish. The Universe works perfectly if you leave some space and time for it!
If you try this manifestations of Full Moon Rituals, I would love to hear your results!
